Description:
Boron has several allotropes. Amorphous boron is also called element boron and monomer boron. Insoluble in water, hydrochloric acid, ethanol, ether. It is soluble in cold concentrated alkali solution and decomposes hydrogen, and is oxidized to boric acid by concentrated nitric acid and concentrated sulfuric acid. At high temperatures, boron can interact with oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, halogen, and carbon. Boron can also be directly combined with many metals to form boride.
The reaction of boron with organic compounds can produce compounds and compounds in which boron is directly linked to carbon or compounds in which oxygen exists between boron and carbon.
Storage Condition:
