Difference of Alpha Alumina powder and gama Alumina Al2O3 powder:

The catalytic function of nano-alumina is one of the most important in its new applications. The specific surface of nano-sized powders is very large, so there are abundant mismatch bonds and hypoxic bonds on the surface of particles. When pressed into thin sheets, the nano-sized powders contain abundant voids, which can be used to prepare porous films with high surface activity. The performance of the catalysts and catalyst carriers made from the nano-sized powders is several times better than that of the similar products currently used.

Alpha alumina nanopowder is added to the coating to provide excellent abrasion and scratch resistance.
